We built the infrastructure the industry said couldn't be done

TDS Risk is the UK's only carrier identity infrastructure with pre-approved intermediary status across all four major mobile networks. We didn't buy our way in. We built the compliance layer from the ground up โ€” and the carriers approved us because of it.

Manual bottlenecks in our infrastructure stack
What we are

Infrastructure. Not a product layer.

Most identity verification companies are product layers โ€” they sit on top of carrier data and resell it with margin stacked on top. Every intermediary adds cost, adds latency, and adds another layer of compliance you have to manage.

TDS Risk is the infrastructure itself. We went directly to the carriers, built the compliance framework that lets them trust us as a central intermediary, and got pre-approved. That means when a customer connects to us, they connect to the source โ€” not a reseller chain.

This is why our price is infrastructure pricing, not product pricing. We didn't build manual processes and staff them. We built automation and infrastructure โ€” and passed the cost savings directly to customers through community pricing.
November 2025
4โ€“6 weeks? We thought we could do better.
We wanted carrier-derived mobile checks for our own Marketplace onboarding and were told access could take 4โ€“6 weeks. Instead of accepting it, we saw an opportunity. We took technology we'd already built for the Marketplace, adapted it and had a working TDS Risk demo within a week.
November 2025
Approved that same month
The demo showed how TDS Risk could manage customer onboarding, access and the required compliance controls through one platform. The model was approved that same month, giving us the foundation to build something much bigger.
January 2026
TDS Risk takes shape
With the access model agreed, we started turning the demo into a full platform. Trust Score became the first product, providing a 0โ€“1,000 mobile trust score alongside carrier-derived signals and detailed reason codes.
March 2026
Compliance becomes continuous
We took the original compliance controls further. Privacy policies became continuously monitored and fully versioned. Add, change or remove even one character and a new version is created, preserving the history, timestamp, hash and character count as part of the evidence trail.
May 2026
TDS Audit & Risk Recall
Returning a signal wasn't enough. We wanted customers to be able to evidence what happened afterwards. TDS Audit and Risk Recall were built to preserve the original check and its associated evidence, creating a traceable record that can be returned to later.
August 2026
Then we tackled the rest
The 4โ€“6 week onboarding problem had already been solved. Next came the rest of the enterprise friction: minimum spends, setup fees, long-term contracts and hidden pricing. Trust Score at 35p. Mobile KYC at 45p. Fully self-serve. Standard PAYG access, plus Rule Studio, sandbox access, developer tools and account-level auditing built into the platform.
September 2026
TDS Risk goes live
What started with us trying to improve onboarding for our own Marketplace became something much bigger. Ten months after being told access could take 4โ€“6 weeks, TDS Risk opens to UK businesses โ€” mobile risk intelligence without the traditional enterprise friction.
Our pricing philosophy

Why our pricing is infrastructure pricing

We didn't build people. We built systems.

Traditional identity verification providers built their businesses around manual processes โ€” manual carrier onboarding, manual compliance reviews, manual customer due diligence. Every check runs through human bottlenecks. Those bottlenecks are expensive, so they pass the cost on โ€” ยฃ2+ per check for small businesses, or a locked-in contract at ยฃ0.50 only if you commit to 2 million checks a year.

We made a different decision. From day one, we built infrastructure โ€” automated compliance scanning, automated policy verification, automated carrier approval routing. There are no humans in the critical path of a check. That means our marginal cost per check is infrastructure cost, not staff cost.

This is what allows us to charge ยฃ0.35 for a Trust Score check and ยฃ0.45 for a Mobile KYC check โ€” the same price whether you run 10 checks or 10 million. We don't need volume to justify the price. The infrastructure is already built. You just get to use it.

95% of businesses are locked out by competitors' pricing models โ€” not because carrier signals are expensive to generate, but because those businesses are forced to subsidise the manual processes above them. We think that's wrong. Community pricing means one price, no exceptions, forever.

Our mission

Democratise access to carrier identity infrastructure

The signals that prevent fraud, verify identity, and protect businesses have always existed. Carriers hold rich data about the mobile numbers on their networks. The problem was never the data โ€” it was access.

We built TDS Risk to make that access frictionless, affordable, and compliant by default. A startup building a fintech product in 2026 should have access to exactly the same carrier intelligence as a Tier 1 bank. Not after signing a 2-year contract and waiting 6 weeks. On day one.

โœ“Carrier intelligence for every business, regardless of size
โœ“Compliance built into the infrastructure โ€” not bolted on
โœ“One price. No volume minimums. No hidden costs.
โœ“Full auditability on every single check
"The small guys pay ยฃ2 for something the big guys get for ยฃ0.50. That's not competition. That's gatekeeping. TDS Risk was built to end that."

How we operate

Built on these principles

๐Ÿ—๏ธ
Infrastructure-first
Every decision starts with: can we automate this entirely? If yes, we build the automation. If not, we ask why not. Manual processes are a failure of engineering, not a business model.
๐Ÿ’ท
Community pricing
Every customer pays the same price. A startup and a bank access the same infrastructure at the same cost. Volume discounts for large customers come at the direct expense of small ones โ€” we won't do that.
๐Ÿ”’
Compliance by design
GDPR, FCA, ICO compliance isn't an add-on โ€” it's in the architecture. Every check creates an immutable, signed audit record. Policy enforcement is automated. Role separation is built in.
๐ŸŽฏ
Signal depth over simplicity
We don't just give you a score. We give you the reason codes, the timestamps, the ownership tenure, the address flags โ€” the full picture. Decision intelligence, not a number.
โšก
Speed as a feature
A fraud check that takes 10 seconds is friction. A fraud check that takes 2 seconds is invisible. We build for the latter โ€” carrier responses return in under 2 seconds on average.
๐Ÿค
Transparent by default
Pricing is public. Reason codes are documented. Role separation in audit records is explicit. We don't hide how the product works โ€” we explain it in detail.
